Our Story at Front Porch Living Communities
Why I Care
Front Porch Living Communities is more than a name. It’s the foundation of why I chose this work. As a child, the front porch was one of the few places where I felt genuinely seen and valued. Whether sitting with my grandmother, spending time with family, or later creating those same moments with my own children, the porch became a symbol of belonging. It was a place where people gathered, shared stories, and reminded one another that they mattered.
As life brought challenges—including raising three children on my own, deep personal loss, and seeing how easy it is for people to fall through life’s cracks—I came to believe even more in the need for a safe, respectful place that offers stability and hope. Front Porch Living Communities is my way of creating that kind of home, where residents are welcomed, treated with dignity, and given the opportunity to rebuild and move forward.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide safe, affordable, and respectful shared housing for independent adults through well-managed homes built on dignity, accountability, compatibility, and community.

What makes Front Porch Living Unique?
Front Porch Living Communities is more than a roof over someone’s head. We provide shared homes where stability, dignity, structure, and connection come together in a respectful community environment.
For many adults, having a stable place to live is the first step toward accessing important community resources. A safe address can make it easier to pursue medical care, food assistance, employment opportunities, community programs, and other services. Front Porch Living Communities provides a stable place to land while residents rebuild daily routines, personal responsibility, confidence, and independence.
Our goal is not only to provide housing. We want residents to feel connected as they take meaningful steps toward greater stability and community life. This may include building basic computer skills, exploring job opportunities, strengthening financial awareness, connecting with outside resources, and developing the confidence needed to move toward a stronger future.

Supporting Progress Toward Greater Stability
Front Porch Living Communities provides consistent structure where residents can practice personal responsibility, develop practical life skills, and work toward their individual goals.
As residents demonstrate readiness and stability, they may work toward increased independence and the next stage of their housing journey. Progress is based on each resident’s responsibility, readiness, and
